Leonis Adobe Museum & Calabasas Creek Park

During the 19th century, Calabasas developed a reputation of being a wild and lawless territory known for its one-day justice ruled by Miguel Leonis, the “King of Calabasas.” Open to the public, the Leonis Adobe Museum is the Leonis family’s preserved, scaled-down ranch and includes original buildings with livestock and artifacts for viewing.

Also part of the museum is an 1875-vintage Victorian home and park with rose and topiary gardens and year round stream. Children programs, school tours and scout projects are conducted throughout the year including a summer “Let’s Feed the Animals” weekly program. The Museum is available for special events.

The Leonis Adobe Museum is located in Old Town Calabasas at 23537 Calabasas Road. Hours are Wednesday – Friday and Sunday, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
