Membership Benefits

MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
The Business Development Committee is responsible for the planning, organization and presentation of the monthly Breakfast and Luncheon programs. These programs are held for networking and promoting member businesses while enjoying dynamic speakers. The Committee also plans educational Workshops covering innovative techniques and strategic business planning. Lastly, the Committee offers Special Events venues for members to showcase their businesses to a broader audience, while building alliances with community organizations that enhance the quality of life and economic vitality in the region.

MEMBERSHIP & DEPUTY PROGRAM
The Chamber has a dedicated Membership Committee to assist in membership development and satisfaction as well as “value added” membership programs. New Member Orientations are held during the year to make new members feel welcome and educate them on utilizing Chamber programs. Member Appreciation Day celebrates member support. Chamber Deputies, known as the “meeters and greeters” of the Chamber, organize the delivery of an appreciation gift to other members whose businesses are located in the area. The Committee coordinates and produces vital publications to members through the monthly newsletter, the Calabasas Post, Chamber Web site and the Chamber Business and Community Directory.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
The Economic & Government Affairs Committee (EGAC) considers legislation at the city, county, state and federal levels and acts as the liaison for the members to provide information relevant to the successful operation of their business. They work with other Chambers of Commerce, local economic development groups, local Cities and non-profit organizations to encourage a strong alliance and sharing of services to benefit the members.

MONTHLY NETWORKING AND BUSINESS MIXERS
These “after-5” membership get-togethers provide members a venue to meet, exchange business cards, and talk business in an informal setting. Opportunities are also available to host a mixer to showcase a member’s business. Please contact the Chamber office if you would like to host a mixer.
